Booking your wedding cake
Step 1 β Check Availability & Initial Quote
Start by checking if your wedding date is available. To maintain high standards I take on only one wedding cake per week, so securing your date early ensures your cake receives the time, care, and attention it deserves.
Share a few details about your wedding β date, guest numbers, style, and flavour preferences. If you can, include an approximate budget to help me tailor my recommendations and provide a rough guide price. This gives you a clear idea of what your cake will cost before any commitment and ensures my suggestions fit your vision and wedding plans.
Step 2 β Tasting Box options
If you feel confident, you can secure your date at this stage with a deposit and enjoy a tasting box (if required) closer to the wedding β perfect if your wedding menu or final flavours arenβt yet decided. This ensures your date is reserved while giving you flexibility to finalise your choices later.
Alternatively you may prefer to experience the flavours and quality before confirming your booking. My beautifully packaged tasting boxes let you try my four most popular flavours in the comfort of your own home, ideally with a glass of Champagne, making it a perfect little date night! Samples are sent via Royal Mail Special delivery on the last Thursday of the month, arriving with you before 1pm the following day, and will keep for three days.
There is a Β£45 cost for this service. Please note, this does not secure your wedding date, your date is only confirmed once the Β£150 booking fee has been received.
Rich Belgian chocolate truffle layer cake
Zesty lemon cake with lemon curd and buttercream
Madagascan vanilla bean and strawberry sponge
Marbled vanilla sponge with a raspberry ripple buttercream
All samples are vegetarian, alcohol and nut free although they are produced on premises where nuts are present and may contain traces.
Step 3 β Reserve Your Date
Once youβre happy with the tasting (or if youβve chosen to reserve early), you can secure your date with a deposit of Β£150.
Please note: the booking fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, as it guarantees your wedding date is unavailable to other clients.
Step 4 β Consultation & Final Design
This consultation is where I truly understand your vision and aspirations for the big day. It allows me time to research and create bespoke details inspired by your dress, venue, or decor. Most consultations are held virtually, giving flexibility with timings and saving travel to my Birmingham studio. However, if youβd like to visit me in person, my door is always open, with a warm welcome. After the consultation, youβll be sent a detailed cake design for your approval or to allow for any alterations.
Step 5 β Booking Fee & Final Balance
Once the design is approved, the deposit is topped up to 50% of the total cost, with the final balance requested six weeks before the wedding.
Step 6 β Delivery & Setup
Iβll liaise with your venue, wedding planner, florist, and any other suppliers whose styling influences the cake. On your wedding day, your cake will be delivered and set up beautifully, ready for you and your guests to enjoy β completely stress-free.
